Mark Dalton Going to Jail
Here's a follow-up to the bombshell I dropped on October 24 regarding gay-for-pay porn star Mark Dalton and his problems with the law. This quote was posted on another website today by Mark Dalton's agent/manager:

I just spoke to the Denton County Jail ... where MARK is incarcerated. They've now told me the latest NEWS ... and it's NOT good. MARK has been sentenced to 5 years in prison for charges involving possession of a controlled substance. If they have "1/2 time" in Texas (if you have a job in prison) ... he'll probably be out in under 3 years.
The "prison sentence" info was just released this morning. Last night, I assume, they didn't have the "update."
The one thing I can't understand is why there was any talk about a "domestic violence" issue. I guess it's a moot point now.
I feel bad for Mark ... since Texas prisons are certainly NOT known for being country clubs.

Prior to my posting the original item, all the gay porn gossip columnists got the same anonymous tip about Mark Dalton's legal problems. We were all struggling to decide how to report the story because the item itself contained Mark Dalton's real name, home address and phone numbers (a no-no to make public).
I knew that if fans got ahold of the original link, it would be spread like a virus. I made a screen shot of the offending website with the PERSONAL INFORMATION BLOCKED OUT and shared that with other columnists. I figured that would satisfy the curiousity of the fans but still protect Mark Dalton's identity. My collegues were relieved that they could now report the story and minimize the damage.
I received some angry emails from Mark Dalton's agent/manager, complaining that I did not do enough research. At the time, he neither confirmed nor denied the accusations, but at the same time he never provided any of us with any facts. He was trying to squelch the story as best he could but the cat was already out of the bag. If you re-read my original blog entry on October 24, my whole point was to chastise the tipster for outing Mark Dalton's legal troubles. I posed questions as to why this person would want revenge, and made a plea to other fans to leave Mark Dalton alone.
I've provided some pretty embarrassing celebrity sightings to Ted Casablanca and then later felt guilty doing so. His paraphrased reply was, "Celebrities CHOOSE to be in the public eye. If they want us to report on the good things they do in public, they have to be prepared for us to report on the bad things, too."
I also provided links to photos of Mark Dalton in Ranch Hand Muscle. That movie, although just a solo effort, may end up being the best work of his career, captured at what may have been the very peak of his physical beauty. We don't know. He may come back bigger and better than ever.
It's public knowledge that Michael Brandon also spent some time in jail. He had done a few gay porn movies prior to jail, but spent his time in jail wisely, figuring out how to make a career once he got out. If you think about it, Michael Brandon has become the biggest star in gay porn. He works constantly, he's been showered with awards, and is univerally loved by fans and the industry. I hope Mark Dalton uses Michael Brandon as inspiration.

I just believe that the truth should be known. Everyone was in such denial, and yes I was ROYALLY screwed over by "Mark" in a personal way. He got what he deserved, and I sure as hell sleep better at night knowing that he isn't available to harass me anymore. Hopefully this will give him a new meaning to life, and he will become a better person in the end, although for now I have no pity whatsoever for him. I wish him the best of luck, especially since he wasn't living in the reality of the world up until this point.So sorry that the truth hurts.

Sorry to hear about Mark's situation. He has given alot of entertainment to alot of people. Hopefully at his age he will survive this chapter of his life.IF he is as strong on the inside as his body has always appeared on the outside.

What´s the surprise? USA is the first producer of drugs. And Mark´s body is the real evidence that he uses roids and all the drugs in the world to gain mass to prostitute himself. After all, in spiet of being a "hunk", he´s like a simple blond whore.
