UPDATE: Mark Dalton Going to Jail

From the Dallas Voice:

Falcon star held on assault charge in Denton County

Dalton’s probation is revoked on 2002
conviction; he’s ordered to serve 5 years
By David Webb, Staff Writer

Adult entertainment star Mark Dalton was sentenced last week to five years in prison for violating his probation on a 2002 controlled substance conviction in Denton County.
Dalton, 24, whose real name is Jeramy James Sons, could face additional time in jail when he goes on trial next week on a family violence assault charge. He is accused of assaulting his live-in girlfriend in their Denton home last April.
The filing of the assault charge prompted Judge Carmen Rivera-Worley of the 16th Judicial District Court to revoke his probation on the controlled substance conviction.
Dalton, a bodybuilder who is nearly 6 feet tall and weighs 210 pounds, is accused of assaulting 98-pound Rebekka Jo Francis. If convicted of the Class A misdemeanor, Dalton faces up to a year in jail.
According to a written report by a Denton police officer, the incident occurred at about midnight on April 2. The report said Dalton, who told police he was a self-employed model, caused “minor injuries and pain” to Francis, who was also identified as self-employed.

After his trial next week, Dalton must attend a second hearing to determine whether his probation will be revoked on another 2002 conviction for leaving the scene of an accident. Revocation of probation on that charge could result in up to an additional 180 days in jail.
Judge River-Worley ordered Dalton held after the hearing on Nov. 4. He was jailed without bond until he completes his Denton County court appearances. After the last hearing, he will be transferred to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to serve out his sentence.
Dalton kept his legal problems a secret from his business associates, said David Forest, a talent agent in Los Angeles who has represented Dalton for the past three years. Forest described the performer as a “perfect gentleman” who never showed any inclination toward violence.
Dalton was scheduled to appear Friday at Throckmorton Mining Company for a Razzle Dazzle Dallas benefit show. Rick Espaillat, a spokesman for Caven Enterprises, said the club arranged for gay adult entertainment star, Matthew Rush to appear intead. Rush was in town appearing in the play “Making Porn.”
Espaillat said he was surprised to learn of Dalton’s criminal background and the allegations of violence. “He seemed very, very easy to work with,” Espaillat said.
Dalton’s criminal record also includes convictions for driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
Espaillat said that he was aware Dalton was heterosexual before he learned of the assault charge. Many performers and models popular with gay men are heterosexual, he said.
“There’s more money to be made in gay porn than straight porn,” Espaillat said. “I would imagine it’s just going to work. We do what we do.”
Dalton will probably serve about one-fourth of the five-year sentence before becoming eligible for parole, his lawyer, Jerry Cobb of Denton, said.
“I haven’t talked to him since the hearing, but I’m sure he’s not too happy about it,” Cobb said.
Regardless of the outcome of the assault trial, which will be heard by a jury, Dalton’s probation was revoked by the judge because of his girlfriend’s allegations, Cobb said. He must serve the time, the lawyer added.
Forest said the sentence would probably end Dalton’s career.
The agent said Dalton was one of the most popular actors he represents. “Super Soaked,” a new Falcon Studios video starring Dalton, is soon to be released, Forest said.
Dalton appears solo in the video, directed by Chi Chi La Rue, as he has in all of his previous videos, the agent said.

I dont want to believe that this information on the perfect Mark Dalton whom I have been following along with for two years is in jail. Assault! Please let it not be true. Him going to jail though...will never EVER effect the way I think of him. I can only wish this whole thing will blow over...and everything will be back to the way it was before.
