"Hostile" from COLT's Re-Launched Olympus Line

Miss Trannyshack 2006
Everyone was buzzing last week about the Miss Trannyshack Pageant, and although I couldn't motivate myself to get there, I have some photos from backstage to share. (Photos by Scott Mars.)
Fresh from playing a judge in "Justice", Hot House's Steven Scarborough was a judge for the Trannyshack pageant, and brought along some Hot House exclusives as eyecandy to balance out the drag quotient. He brought along my next ex-husband, Nick Piston, Robert Van Damme, Matt Cole and others. Other celebrities in attendance as either judges, performers, or hangers-on included Lady Bunny, Di-Lite's Lady Miss Kier, and "Surreal Life's" Alexis Arquette. But the biggest surprise guest was someone routinely emulated by Retardo, none other than Parker Posey! (Look for the big Great Garbo glasses.)
My spies who attended the pageant all agreed that the show was good, but the contestants this year were lackluster. Someone named Raya Light was named the winner. After 10 years of flogging that dead horse, I guess the best performers have already won, or gotten too old to care.
Speaking of too old to care, Precious Moments (aka porn star Michael Soldier) is the headliner this week at Trannyshack. This Tuesday, 11/28 - "TSI-Tranny Scene Investigation"! My First Xmas Gift of 2006
I just received my first Xmas gift of the year in the mail. It's only the day after Thanksgiving, and those wacky Canadians at MaleFlixxx.tv have already sent out their Xmas packages, and they went all out this year! MaleFlixxx.tv sent me a Sony Playstation Portable!
To be honest, I've never been a fan of pinball, air hockey, foosball, arcade games or these new-fangled video games on the computer. The last time I sat and played a video game was back in the 70's when Pong first came out. I don't have an Ipod or any kind of portable music gadget, and though I've had plenty of opportunities to get one, I've never seen the need.
I think I might just take an interest in this Playstation gadget, though. It looks like it's got some features beyond gaming that I might actually use, so who knows. I'm assuming there must be a way for MaleFlixxx.tv movies to be seen on it, so there's one use already.

Thanksgiving Turkey Recipe
HAPPY THANKSGIVING..........Here is a recipe I thought you would like for the holidays!
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken or turkey
1 large lemon, cut into halves
sprig of rosemary
salt and pepper to taste
butter or olive oil, whichever you prefer
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Rub butter or oil over the skin of the chicken/turkey until it is completely coated.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and any other seasonings you prefer.
Take a knife and gently separate the skin from the breast meat;
Slide lemon halves under the skin with the peel side up, one on
each side. This way the juice from the lemon will release into the breasts.
Place sprig of rosemary into the chicken/turkey.
Cover and bake for 30-45 minutes. Remove cover and continue
to roast until juices run clear, basting every 15-20 minutes.
If you've followed these steps correctly, your chicken/turkey should
look like the one in the picture.

La Dolce Vita Fashion Show
Michael Lucas is taking a huge gamble with his latest film,
La Dolce Vita, both creatively and financially. He's included a fashion show scene using porn models models from the film as well as non-porn runway models. In the bizarre "Making Of" video just posted to YouTube, he even hired a voiceover actor that sounds like he's doing a trailer for a splatter film. The voiceover announces that this one scene cost more than an entire movie usually costs!
On one hand, I hope that the movie is a success so that other studios will also start taking more risks, breaking out of their "formulas", trying new promotional gimmicks, and doing more outreach to the mainstream.
On the other hand, I'm skeptical that Lucas can sell enough copies to justify the money and effort spent. Everyone has an opinion about what makes a porn movie "good", but are they the same people who actually BUY movies? Studios like COLT, Titan, Raging Stallion and Hot House have built their businesses on the premise of "no plot", and "let's get right to the fucking asap".
Or maybe this is Michael Lucas's way of moving out of the porn business and into bigger and better things in other industries...
I'm anxious to see this movie in any case.

Lavender Lounge Interview With Nick Piston

Hot House - Behind The Scenes
On Saturday afternoon, I had the pleasure of visiting the set of a new Hot House movie being shot here in San Francisco. The movie doesn't have a title yet, but it's got an auto mechanics theme, and it's to be a star vehicle for Hot House exclusive Nick Piston.
The invitation to visit the set came from Hot House's new promotions director, David Mc Cambridge. We met at Hot House's new production facility they've occupied for only the past 6 months. It's an unassuming warehouse space a few blocks from my house, located in the area that was once dubbed "Multimedia Gulch", but has lately become known as "Gay Porn Gulch". (The offices of Hot House, COLT, Raging Stallion, Falcon, Bear Films, Factory Video, Naked Sword, are all within walking distance.)
The studio is a big, barn-like building that is used strictly for video and photo production. (The Hot House corporate offices are at a separate undisclosed location, which David also invited me to visit at another time.) Upon entering, there is a very organized prop room on the left with plastic bins labeled for the various kinds of "toys" to be shoved up porn star anuses, and a shelf full of military style boots. On the right is a "lounge" area to relax between scenes, serve food and apply makeup.

Jason Adonis Bottoms - Scene Debut
Did you hear the one about the farmer's daughter?

I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of the scene on DVD. (Only nine other media types had that honor.)
The scene is shot outdoors in a beautiful rural setting near a farm house. Jason Adonis is the local mechanic, and Erik Rhodes is the city slicker with car trouble. From there, you can write the dialogue yourself, but it ends up with Jason in the back of a pickup getting plowed by Erik Rhodes. The colors and lighting are lush and vibrant, and the camera work is intimate. You can easily see that every hair on Jason's body has been meticulouslly plucked. Physically, the two massive bodybuilders make a good match.
So how was the sex? I think Jason Adonis truely enjoyed it, but he wasn't what you'd call a "hungry bottom". That usually only comes from experience. Hungry bottoms will twitch and thrust and wriggle down deep onto the shaft. Erik Rhodes had to do most of the work, even when he was on his back with Jason squatting down on Erik's long pole.
Perhaps it was just the angle of view, or the Production Assistants were just overly vigilant about cleaning up the excess, but the butthole looked a bit too dry for a sloppy, lubey, wet fuck. If there wasn't enough lube, that may be the reason Jason wasn't bouncing on Erik's pecker like a pro.
Like I said, I do think Jason Adonis grew to like getting fucked. From the look on his face at the moment of penetration, his eyes rolled back in his head in sheer ecstacy. He also shot his load while getting fucked, proving that it was not unpleasant (to say the least). And he certainly didn't waste any time setting up another chance to get buttfucked in his own movie, so I think we'll see more of Jason Adonis bottoming in the future - just NOT for Falcon.
If you are REALLY into the mechanics of "the ole' in-out", it's not a memorable moment in porn. The hardest hardcore porn consumers often live TOO vicariously through porn stars having all the fun, and they tend to get pretty demanding. Most scenes with gay-for-pay guys tend to be lacking in that area, but Jason pulls it off better than most. If you have an appreciation for the mere sight of two gorgeous muscle boys naked in an erotic situation, it's quite hot.
A little birdy also told me today that Jason Adonis was scheduled to shoot a scene for Falcon's "Basic Plumbing 3", which just shot in LA, and Jason was a no-show. Too bad, but Roman Heart did an "amazing scene" with Chase Hunter.

Michael Lucas News
Below are November Updates from Michael Lucas, fresh on the heels of taping Fellini's version of La Dolce Vita on Turner Classic Movies. I haven't sat down to watch it yet, but I think I should before watching the porn remake. Here's some shameless self-promotion from Mr. Lucas:
1) "La Dolce Vita": We're shipping the completed film for duplication at the end of this week, aiming for a release date of December 1st. Again, the movie will have 2 parts, each split into its own double-disc set with bonus discs. We will also have a Limited Edition Directors' Cut version, which will include both parts and a third disc packed with bonus material. That Limited Edition will be available only at LucasEntertainment.com. We've been successfully pre-booking it for the past month. That Limited Edition will have a special sleeve, and it will also include a bonus watersports scene between Spencer Quest and myself.
2) We've gotten nearly 100,000 views for the La Dolce Vitatrailer on YouTube. I believe this is unprecedented. The majority of other adult movie trailers on YouTube have under 5,000 hits- and you know how I adore the big numbers:

3) This movie will come in 2 versions, R-rated and XXX-rated. We are showing the R-rated version at a special screening here in New York on December 12th, followed by a Q&A session. Invites will be coming shortly. Let me know if you will be in town or not! Several people who had a hand in the movie, from Marc Jacobs to Savanna Samson, are already confirmed for the red-carpet event. The afterparty will be at my apartment in Chelsea.
4) As we finish editing "La Dolce Vita," we are also completing filming of "Encounters 4," with Pete Ross, Wilson Vasquez, Chad Hunt, Brad Star, Spencer Quest, Jack Bond, Manny Torres, Ryann Wood and more. It will be out in January.

More Vintage Gay Porn Galleries
Now that Lavender Lounge has re-launched with it's Extreme Makeover new look, I am very excited to begin the process of upgrading the photo galleries from the old site, and adding lots more to the new system. I am most excited about the getting a fresh look at the vintage gay porn galleries that I will be adding over the next few months! (Look for the Groovy Guys section.)
When Lavender Lounge first started offering adult content back in 1998 or 1999 (I can't remember...), the first thing I added was vintage gay porn. My garage sale / thrift store background eventually lead me to discovering old muscle magazines that I could pick up for 75 cents or a dollar. When I decided I needed SOMETHING to put on my new Lavender Lounge website, I started scanning those old magazines because I thought they were so cool and campy. In talking to other people, I had no idea how many young guys also shared my interests in vintage gay porn.
Eventually, I discovered other sources to aquire buttloads of male physique images from the 50's through the 70's, and kept adding them to Lavender Lounge. I aquired so many images in the past few years, I actually had too many to manage in an efficient method to display them on the site - until this latest re-launch.
I now have a total of 10,000 or more images of vintage gay porn at my fingertips that will start to become available to VIP Members of Lavender Lounge. If you check the New Photos page, you can see thumbnails of the galleries that have been recently added. However, if you check the Upcoming Photos page, you'll see that from now until the end of November, a new vintage gay porn gallery will be added to Lavender Lounge every couple of days. Starting in December, a new Groovy Guys Vintage gallery will be added every Friday. I've already input enough galleries to keep them coming automatically every Friday well into May 2007.
This process of re-adding Groovy Guys Galleries has been my dream for a long time, particularly because it fulfills two of my requirements - the pictures are much larger, and they can be viewed as a slideshow (for convenient hands-free viewing, if you catch my drift...).

Gay Porn Star Stonie Plays Borat's Son
Popular gay porn star Stonie has had yet another brush with REAL fame. Years ago he was used in a segment on the Daily Show portraying himself, now he's appeared in "Borat", the hottest movie currently running in theaters.
The gimmick was to have Borat go to an etiquette coach and show her photos of his "son" the gay porn star just to watch her freak out. Stonie was hired for a still photo session where they shot him naked cradling his "father" in his arms, and another shot of Borat on his knees in front of Stonie giving the thumbs-up sign to his "son's" large endowment. The photos were shot in June 2005.

Borat Sagdiyev is not a real person, no matter how many media outlets treat him like one. It thus stands to reason that his over-endowed son, who's the subject of a major sight gag in the new Borat movie, is also not real. So who was that fellow whose impressive khrum inspired such an enthusiastic thumbs-up from his onscreen father?
His name is Adrian Cortez, but he's better known by his nom de porn, Stonie. According to his manager, David Forest, Cortez is a 25-year-old gay porn star who has appeared in around 65 films.
Borat's producers first contacted Forest in June 2005, he tells Radar. "They wanted to find someone who would look 13 or 14 but was actually of legal age and would do frontal nudity," he recalls. Cortez immediately sprang to mind, he says, because "he's a small-framed boy but has a large organ." How large? "About eight inches, and thick." As for his nickname, Forest says, "I guess it's because he was a stoner. I don't know."
The shoot took one day, and Cortez told Forest that Sacha Baron Cohen, the comedian who plays Borat, "was a lot of fun. Sacha is a crack-up." Forest won't say how much the job paid, exactly. "Let's put it this way: He earned far more for this photo session than he would've if it had been for an adult company. We got paid a good sum of money."
Neither Cortez nor Forest was invited to the Borat premiere, but it's been good for the actor's career in other ways, says Forest: "What's funny is he's always been famous for his ass, because he has this amazingly hot ass, and yet in this movie he's becoming famous for his dick." Oh, the irony.

Breaking News: Britney Files for Divorce
Last night I had trouble sleeping. I tossed n' turned, and got up a couple times. When I finally started to drift off, I had a wave of fear and disaster come over me. I've had these feelings before, as if its a premonition that someone is about to die. At one point during the night, I thought I heard the sound of an announcer saying the phrase, "...Zsa Zsa's memorial service will be..."
When I woke up I expected to hear that either Zsa Zsa Gabor was dead, or that the Republicans had won the election.
It wasn't until 3pm, that the apocalyptic disaster revealed itself - Britney Spears has filed for divorce from Kevin Federline.
K-Fed's nickname is now Fed-Ex.

Further Adventures of Jason Adonis, The Bottom
It seems that Jason Adonis's precious butt hole is once again a subject of controversy.
After an aborted offer to bottom for Jet Set last year, Jason decided to go back to Falcon to make his bottoming debut in the upcoming “The Farmers Son” (FVP172). As one of the highest-paid models currently working in the gay porn industry, I'm sure he demanded quite a pretty penny to have his posterior penetrated for posterity. Chad Donovan Joins Falcon

Come Out Come Out Where Ever You Are!
I went to the gym for an hour, and couldn't wait to get home and check the news to see if any other Evangelists (Ted Haggard), sit com stars (Doogie Howser), or Republican politicians (Mark Foley) have come out during that hour.
I listened to Michelangelo Signorile's interview with gay ex-hustler Mike Jones about his expose of Ted Haggard. Here are the items that you REALLY want to know about the story:
-Ted Haggard was sexually "very vanilla".
-They mostly engaged in mutual masturbation.
-At one point they "experimented with anal sex" but only once, and it was safe sex. Roberts confessed that he wore the condom while Ted Haggard bottomed.
-They "traded-off" oral sex, but Jones stated that Ted Haggard gave lousy blowjobs.
Jones quietly had a local TV station install hidden cameras in his apartment to catch Haggard in the act during their once-a-month sessions. Unfortunately, Haggard did not call in September or October, and they didn't have a chance to snare him. Fearing that the election would slip by without outing Haggard, Jones went public with what he had.
I believe Mike Jones is a hero. Haggard is a wealthy man. Jones could have blackmailed him for money, but didn't. He was not paid by any media outlet. He did get one night at the Waldorf Astoria with Room Service for appearing on the one of the network morning shows, but didn't get paid.

Bangkok Gay Pride
My friend is still sending missives from Thailand. Here is his report from Bangkok Gay Pride and Swimsuit Competition: (Photos by the Infamous Jim James.)
So sorry have been out of touch, have been having so much fun with my "Malaysia Familee" showing me around, getting twisted into a pretzel at the massage parlor, and also attending Bangkok Pride events.
Today Pet introduced me to his "sister" (he is male, trust me!) "Toy". Pet, Wit, Wat, Wee, and now Toy. Oh! and I almost forgot "O". Just love the short names almost as cute as their owners. Toy took me shopping today to buy one of those yellow shirts that everyone wears on Mondays to honor His Majesty the King. And to a nice restaurant in the Silom Complex, yet another mega-mall.
On Friday, I got lost looking for "MBK" department store. Wee told me to look there first to price silk suits. In Siam Square (pronounced see-YAAM sa-KAR-eh), this is the mother of all mega-malls. A frenzied orgy of shopping, four multi floor mega-malls connected by tunnels and elevated walkways spanning the entire space between two Skytrain stations. Just the food courts alone were enough to make me dizzy. I gave up after two hours and four or five directions from information booths.
On Saturday, I attended Pride in the Park at Lumpini (LOOM-pin-nee) Park. A smallish, slightly disorganized affair, everyone seemed to know each other and it had a real community feel, unlike SF's huge beer and vodka commercial. Pet was working selling T-shirts and sodas at the "Balcony" booth. I took a few snaps at the "condom fashion (fat-chon) show, hilarious outfits made from hundreds if not thousands of condoms glued, stapled, or otherwise fastened together. Lots of hilarious banter from the MC in between the serious safe sex and proper condom use messages.
There were serious bad mitten and volleyball tournaments going on, but the highlight of the event was the swimsuit competition. Only 8 contestants, but very stunning. Most of them were sponsored by or worked at one of the go-go bars. The judging was by local bar owners and community activists, the popularity contest was a charity funds raising affair where the audience was encouraged to buy red (1000 bot!) or blue (50 bot) ribbons, and to go up and place it around your favorite contestants neck, or chest. Two hideously hilarious drag queens were egging and prodding folks along, and after 30 to 40 minutes of the boys parading around the pool, everyone who wanted got a chance to place a ribbon, take a picture, and drool.
The parade was on Sunday. Only 15 or 20 contingents, and they had to share the other lane with car traffic. The costumes were very creative and ornate, mimicking the gaudiness I saw at the Grand Temple. Again it seemed small town-ish, but it reminded me of what gay pride used to be like back in '79/'80, when gay pride really meant something besides a marketing demographic.
Again the Balcony bar had passed out flags with the pride logo but with their logo also, which ensured a lively crowd on Soi 4 afterwords, where Pet and I enjoyed yet another round of fried chicken wings and Singha.
Some people here have said that Bangkok Pride is mostly for us farang, since Thai culture is very accepting already of gays. I have noticed that every massage parlor has women and men (gay) masseurs, and every bar, shop, or restaurant has at least one obvious gay, and one or more "katoy" (TV's) as well.
After pride, we tipped on over to Lumpini Park to place a floating candle and incense in the lake in honor of "Loy Katong", the festival of lights celebration. This is where the Thai people get to say "excuse me" to the water gods for dumping pollution in the rivers, and to express thanks for all the good that water provides. A public relations campaign urged people to use banana leaves rather than Styrofoam to create elaborate floating wreaths, with flowers, candles and incense. Some of the larger ones looked like canoes.
The scene took on a magical feel as hundreds of thousands of these candles filled the rivers and park lakes, with many accompanying dance and concert events, and fireworks.
Pet has gone home for today to visit his mom, somewhere far out in the countryside. He has left his friend "Toy" in charge of me for the day, so I must end this story now so that he can finish the urgent task of squeezing the blackheads on my back, so solly.

San Francisco Values Halloween - Or Does It?
Halloween in San Francisco's Castro neighborhood was very different this year, and I fear it will be never be the same again.
Retardo dressed as "Village People Leather Guy" (see him under the Castro Theater sign), and I dressed as a 50 year old bespeckeled nerd with a camera (a real stretch...). He got a LOT of attention, because he looked so much like the real Glenn Hughes, and for the crowd that showed up on Halloween, the Village People is about as far as their knowledge of gay culture extends.
Most of the costumes were store-bought, with the wrinkles from the package still visible. There were still plenty of cute (straight) guys, but with the chilly weather, they couldn't show much skin.
I was interviewed by the San Francisco Chronicle yesterday to discuss my memories of the good old days of Halloween. The Sisters managed the event from 1990 through 1995, and I was involved in managing the stage and booking the acts. Other Sisters were concerned about potential violence on the streets, but I was always in the protected areas of the stage, so I never really witnessed the violence. I was disappointed when the Sisters pulled out of the event 11 years ago, and always had fond memories of Halloween in the Castro as a fabulous show and fun event.
Since then, I've mostly avoided Halloween in the Castro, as did most of the gay people who live in the neighborhood. It's been overrun by straight suburban kids with no creativity, and no respect for the sacred ground. Over the past few years, the City has attempted to "manage" the event to make it safer, while still being pressured by residents to cancel it.
How the City handles Halloween has become the main point of debate between candidates for Supervisor in that district. The incumbant, Bevan Dufty, is being accused of dragging his feet in preparation for the event in order for it to fail. Supporters of the event claim the mostly-white Castro residents object to the mostly-non-white interlopers because they are racist (ouch!).
Nine or ten people were shot that night. That fact alone will probably end the event right there; never mind that ambulance calls were down and there were no calls reporting gay bashings.
I am torn between whether or not I'd like to see Halloween in the Castro continue. The terms "San Francisco Values" is now the dirtiest word spoken in the dirty world of national politics, but what ARE "San Francisco Values" to those of us who live here?
Is San Francisco REALLY the place for unbridled freedom and non-stop parties? Or do we have a secret Homosexual Agenda that demands inclusion for us in mainstream society to the exclusion of others we don't like visiting our little gay enclave?
My brain hurts from all this thinking! All I wanted to do was take pictures of cute guys in skimpy costumes, and look what I started!

Lavender Lounge Extreme Makeover - It's Here!
November 1, 2006 - A date which will live in infamy: Lavender Lounge has gotten a long-awaited Extreme Makeover!
After months of excruciating pain, we have finally given Lavender Lounge the most extensive re-launch in several years. Here are some of the new features:
-Fun Original Artwork. I commissioned nine custom made "characters" to represent various niches featured in the membership section of Lavender Lounge. (see right)
-New Photos. A page that shows thumbnails of the newest galleries added.
-Upcoming Photos. Previews of new galleries that are ready to be added, and the date they will be available (don't let your memberships run out!)
-New and Upcoming Videos. Same concept for Video clips.
-Site News. Written descriptions of changes and updates to the site.
-Simplified Navigation. It will be much easier for me to do updates, and easier for you to find things.
-Larger Photos. All photos will now be 25% larger than in the old site.
-Slideshows. This is my favorite part! When you open a gallery, you now have the choice to open specific images by hitting its thumbnails, or just click "Slideshow" for hands-free viewing!
There are a lot of exciting things coming up for this site, but I'm not going to promise anything till they're ready. I would like to thank Jake from CamBoysXXX.com for all his programming help, and big thanks to AXEL from ArtByAxel.com for drawing the fabulous cartoons.
