Michael Lucas News
Below are November Updates from Michael Lucas, fresh on the heels of taping Fellini's version of La Dolce Vita on Turner Classic Movies. I haven't sat down to watch it yet, but I think I should before watching the porn remake. Here's some shameless self-promotion from Mr. Lucas:
1) "La Dolce Vita": We're shipping the completed film for duplication at the end of this week, aiming for a release date of December 1st. Again, the movie will have 2 parts, each split into its own double-disc set with bonus discs. We will also have a Limited Edition Directors' Cut version, which will include both parts and a third disc packed with bonus material. That Limited Edition will be available only at LucasEntertainment.com. We've been successfully pre-booking it for the past month. That Limited Edition will have a special sleeve, and it will also include a bonus watersports scene between Spencer Quest and myself.
2) We've gotten nearly 100,000 views for the La Dolce Vitatrailer on YouTube. I believe this is unprecedented. The majority of other adult movie trailers on YouTube have under 5,000 hits- and you know how I adore the big numbers:

3) This movie will come in 2 versions, R-rated and XXX-rated. We are showing the R-rated version at a special screening here in New York on December 12th, followed by a Q&A session. Invites will be coming shortly. Let me know if you will be in town or not! Several people who had a hand in the movie, from Marc Jacobs to Savanna Samson, are already confirmed for the red-carpet event. The afterparty will be at my apartment in Chelsea.
4) As we finish editing "La Dolce Vita," we are also completing filming of "Encounters 4," with Pete Ross, Wilson Vasquez, Chad Hunt, Brad Star, Spencer Quest, Jack Bond, Manny Torres, Ryann Wood and more. It will be out in January.

7) But enough about me... let's talk about today's Daily News. In the Rush & Malloy column, they quoted me as apparently saying that I am the "Barbra Streisand of porn," as I direct, produce and write porn. They forgot to say that I also act, and that I will be doing so until I am 100 years old! Just to annoy the hell out of everyone! Even if at that time I will only be able to fuck with my finger!
