Updates from Lucas Entertainment
Michael Lucas chimed in about the story I ran yesterday regarding the Porn Pirates by sending a press release about that and a list of other items he's working on. Two days later Michael Lucas called to correct me on some bad reporting I did on the pirating story. It's a complicated story, and the general public reading this won't understand it or care, but the fact is, my sloppy reporting resulted in some incorrect statements. I have since deleted them. At least I know who is reading Lavender Lounge Blog!
Michael Lucas is also starting to talk up his new movie starring the legendary Johnny Hanson, Ben Andrews, and Chad Hunt to be called "The Bigger The Better," will be out on March 6th. Johnny makes his return to the industry after over 10 years in retired absence!
I wonder if Michael Lucas is aware that there is a famous Matt Sterling movie named "The Bigger the Better"? It starred Rick Donovan, Matt Ramsey, Shawn McIvan, Brian Michaels, Buster, and Mike Ramsey and for those of us of a certain age, it was a groundbreaking title we can't forget.
Read more of the latest gossip from Michael Lucas, in his own words, after the jump:
I've legally changed my name to "Michael Lucas." This was a decision long overdue, as everyone save for my family and a few friends calls me Michael. I am proud of what I do and am proud of my achievements as Michael Lucas. I am not embarrassed as being recognized as a porn performer and entrepreneur. The process took several weeks with my lawyer, but now all of my ID cards and official documents including my passport will say "Michael Lucas."
My company has produced 2 movies a month for the past year. Starting in April, we are planning to up it to 3 productions a month, as the company has grown significantly and customers are always demanding more content.
I've had many questions from you guys about the book written by Corey Taylor called "Naked: The Life and Pornography of Michael Lucas." There's not much I can tell you about it, except that a couple years ago, I gave a series of about 20 interviews to Mr. Taylor, who then interviewed others in the business and some of my friends. My communications with him stopped after I read the first draft of the book. Don't get me wrong, it was incredibly praising of me, but having read many biographies myself, I found the book to be very poorly written, full of praise to the point of being boring, and really rather pointless. I told this to the "writer" flat out back then, and haven't heard from him since. But he went and published it, and now it's available for pre-order at TLA Books.
Spencer Quest just emailed me and told me about his decision to stop working in porn. He's going to blog about the specific reasons soon. He gave me all the details, but I am not sure if they are confidential or not. Spencer told me that he is proud that "La Dolce Vita" is going to be the last film he appeared in. He made two movies for Lucas Entertainment—"Encounters 4: On The Job" (paired with Jack Bond) and "La Dolce Vita" (paired with Jamie Donovan in one scene and myself in another). He is an incredible guy, and I am really sorry that he is leaving. But I absolutely respect his decision. He should be back from rehab in about a month and will be living with his boyfriend across the street from me in Chelsea. I look forward to hanging out with them both. We've become friends this past year.
I just got back from Hungary where I filmed two movies, and I am very pleased with them both. One will be an all-twink "Auditions," and the other will be a new line of my International series which I will be filming in Hungary every month, "Cruising Budapest 1: Michael Lucas." It was an incredible experience to work with George Vidanov, who is probably one of the best lays I've had onscreen, and the twin brothers Fabrizio and Fernando Mangiatti. I really pushed the envelope with the brothers, as they kiss and hug each other and share the dick of a beautiful model named Valentino. Milan Gamiani who you might remember from "Barcelona Nights" is also in the film. The next film, "Cruising Budapest 2: Ben Andrews," is going to be filmed in April.
