Mr. Muscle Bear Cub Contest Photos
The Mr. Muscle Bear Cub Contest on Friday was fantastic! We had seven great contestants and the Lone Star was packed. My friends couldn't even get in because there was a line down the street!
The winner was Chris, seen immediately below. Chris is 5 feet 4 inches, 150 pounds, 34 years old and lives in San Francisco. He will receive his $500 prize when he does his porn shoot for the Muscle Bear Cub website in a few weeks. My second favorite contestant was Gabriel, the dark haired guy with the beard and cap. He has agreed to model for the site, too. I can't wait!
Emcee Tom Orr wrote and performed an original song for the event, Jake Deckard (a Raging Stallion exclusive) did a strip number to songs by Pat Benatar and Pink. Titan exclusive Tober Brandt was "tactile inspector" (which simply means we got to see him fondle all the boys and then describe it to us...) with Bill and Andy from Big Muscle Bears as judges.
Contestant Joey Summers, on the left in the last photo, had the best line of the night. Turns out Tom Orr is a former roommate, and when asked, "What would you NOT do on camera?" His answer was, "YOU!"
Naked Sword provided the prize money and tshirts for everyone (in Extra Large bear size, of course), and I made some goofy gift bags for the guys with Whoopee cushions and a can of Menudo. ("Mmmm. It's intestinal!") I also gave away custom made Muscle Bear Cub lighters.

Mark Dalton In Jail - Again
According to Jason Curious, gay for pay porn star Mark Dalton is in jail again.
In typical fashion with people who live on the edge and frequently get into trouble, it's all very complicated and convoluted, but it's basically a violation of his parole from the last time he went to jail.
And as Gay Porn Blog says, "HOTTEST. MUGSHOT. EVER". Yum.

Regarding Paris Hilton, we shouldn't forget that none other than Zsa Zsa Gabor was married to Paris Hilton's great-grandfather, Conrad Hilton. Though Paris and Zsa Zsa are not blood relatives, they share family traits - blond hair, beauty, and oh yes, traffic violations. They both went to jail for flaunting their special celebrity status and assuming they were above the law.

San Francisco Pride Photos
In honor of San Francisco Pride for the LGBTQRSTUVWXXXLSMFT communities, I am featuring my photo sets from the past few Pride parades, post-parade celebrations, Pink Saturday, and Faerie Village.
My first gay Pride parade was in 1982 and I do recall taking a few pictures that year. I bought a nice Pentax SLR camera in 1983, and it was the first time I went crazy shooing pictures. (Shooting three or four rolls in one day seemed excessive at the time, but with digital, I sometime shoot 500 pictures in a day!) After going through and reprocessing my "old" parade photos, I guess I better go through my really old photos from the 80's and 90's and scan them to be added them to the site, too.
I started shooting pictures with digital cameras in 2003, and I had discs of photos from 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 that are now featured in the Paparazzi Pix section of the Lavender Lounge VIP Room. I reprocessed them from the raw, high res. versions and saved them as larger versions that I previously used on Lavender Lounge. All my photo galleries on Lavender Lounge are now viewable by slide show, too. The slide show feature is the part of my site that I am most proud!

Sam Ritter / Stephen Geoffreys Returns to Horror Roots
As I continue to get caught up with editing some of my old video footage, I keep discovering more forgotten gems! Five years ago I shot a solo jack off scene with a local porn model who at one time went by the name Sam Ritter. I met him on a porn shoot a few years earlier and thought he was hot, so I invited him to do a scene for me in 2002.
I also knew that Sam Ritter had a short, but memorable career in mainstream film and television under the name Stephen Geoffreys. He's best remembered for playing a teenage vampire, "Evil Ed" along side fearless vampire killer Roddy McDowell in the campy "Fright Night" in 1985. To this day, people who barely remember the movie still remember Evil Ed, even though he only played the lead character's best friend.
Stephen Geoffreys was nominated for a Tony Award in 1984 for "Human Comedy" and won the prestigious 1984 Theater World Award which is given out to 12 promising newcomers each year and has been bestowed since 1944. So what led him from such a promising acting career to gay porn? No doubt drugs and alcohol distracted him from the hard work of promoting an acting career, and gay porn is quick, easy money. The two times I worked with him, he was professional and hard-working, though he didn't have much to say when the camera wasn't rolling.
From the 2002 video clip above, my guess is that he got through the lean times by doing phone sex. Once he got on a roll verbally, it was a rollercoaster ride of dirty words and fantasy role play that only a professional could spew at such a rapid fire pace.

Fast-forward to the other day as I am doing some research into Sam Ritter / Stephen Geoffreys to promote the debut of this never-before seen footage at Lavender Lounge. Lo and behold, the struggling actor will soon be making his return to horror movies! He's been cast in "Sick Girl", scheduled to come out in September 2007. Below is an interview with Stephen Geoffreys from horror fan site Bloody-Digusting.
Bloody-Disgusting was given the exclusive opportunity to chat with Stephen Geoffreys, the star of Eben McGarr’s upcoming debut film SICK GIRL, which is currently in post-production. For those of you who don’t know, Geoffreys became a fan favorite in the ’80s after stealing the show in FRIGHT NIGHT and starring in Robert Englund’s 976-EVIL. This is his long-awaited return to horror as “Mr. Putski, an elementary school teacher,” he tells us, “I’m extremely excited, it’s [been] a lot of fun!”
Geoffreys talked a little bit about how he ended up involved in the project after all of these years, “Eben McGarr, the film's writer/director, presented me with the offer, I looked it over and got the feeling that this guy has some very interesting ideas about putting together a fantastic film,” he tells us, “It's always nice to work with someone who has a sense of excitement about creating something of quality, and Eben definitely has the right stuff.”
As opposed to FRIGHT NIGHT and 967-EVIL, Geoffreys was able to avoid most of the bloodshed, “I actually make it to the end of the film without spilling a drop of blood.”
Something we’ve always wondered here at B-D is that 20 years ago Geoffreys turned down FRIGHT NIGHT 2 for 976-EVIL, he tells us that he doesn’t regret the decision, “No regrets. Both films started shooting at approximately the same time. The deciding factor for me was the chance to work with the amazing Robert Englund… It was a blast.”
Geoffreys tells us that he couldn’t resist returning to film after all of these years, “The whole experience of working in film is awesome; taking an idea and bringing that vision to life is something that brings me an immense amount of pleasure.” This is probably why he had such a blast on the set of SICK GIRL, “Being on the set of a movie is unbelievably exhilarating. The actors and crew seemed to be having a great time and their enthusiasm was infectious”
We also learned that Geoffreys and McGarr will work together once more on LOS CONVENIO, McGarr’s next feature film.
But I think the number one question on everyone’s mind is, how would Geoffreys feel about FRIGHT NIGHT or 967-EVIL being remade? His answer was short and sweet, “Not at all... I think it's flattering.”

Malik Week At Lavender Lounge
It's Malik Week At Lavender Lounge!
I know, I know, it sounds like sale at Macy's, but I want to let everyone know that one of my biggest discoveries, Malik, is being featured in the VIP Room of Lavender Lounge. I sort of teased the VIP Members by only debuting part of the Malik collection last month, and set the rest of the galleries to debut in June. Well, it's Malik Week and by June 19th, VIP Members will be able to see the entire set, with galleries trickling in every day or so.

Gay Porn Look Alikes
During the month of June, Athletic Model Guild is featuring a vintage Man of The Month that went by the name of Armando Gonzales. I've seen him plenty of times before and he was always simply adorable.

I'm meeting with Tom Orr, the MC of the show, today to discuss how the show is going to be run. Designer or COLT Model?

As reported in Page Six, it seems the 59-year-old French designer and perfumer, Thierry Mugler, has been lifting weights to such an extent that he's bulked himself into an unrecognizable musclebound creature that necessitated a name change. I'm not much of a designer queen myself, so I didn't know much about Thierry Mugler even when he was at the top of his game. It's a black double breasted jacket probably from the early 90's (I bought it in the late 90's at a thrift store on Melrose) with extremely padded shoulders and perfectly tailored to my body to give even this aging sedentary nerd a somewhat v-shaped silhouette. 8mm Vintage Gay Porn Movies
Anyone who knows me or is a frequent visitor to Lavender Lounge Blog knows I have a fondness for vintage gay porn. In fact, when I built my very first version of this website, even before I knew it was going to be a porn site, I started scanning old vintage porn magazines from my collection just to have SOMEthing to fill the pages. At the time, collecting old gay porn magazines was equivalent to collecting vintage shirts, records or lamps. I have an eye for cool old retro things, and old porno magazines from the 50's take up less space than 1950's console televisions (another hobby that got out of control for a while...).
My interest in that field helped me get a contract job doing box cover design for Alpha Blue Archives, a company that sells compilations of vintage straight porn movies, mostly from the 70's and 80's. Over the past 4 years, I've designed over 100 DVD box covers with titles like "Big Tit Anal Ultra Vixens In The 1970's", and "Lesbian Bra Busters of the 1980's" (the must-see sequel to "Lesbian Bra Busters of the 1970's"). The compilations mostly come from little 8mm film reels that were shown in the back of dirty bookstores as "peep shows" or sold to consumers to be shown on movie projectors.
Recently, I asked my client from Alpha Blue, "Aren't you going to run out movies some day?" "NEVER!" he replied emphatically. In today's oversaturated market, AVN estimates there are 1000 porn titles released every month. Even if the number of releases in the 70's was only a fraction of that number, that's a LOT of movies floating around out there.
I had considered going into the same business of re-releasing vintage porn movies as Alpha Blue, but with all gay titles. But for some reason, I always resisted the temptation. I already have too much on my plate business-wise, and getting into the DVD business is really complicated, but it seems to be the natural extention to projects I'm already deeply involved in. As I'm beginning to shoot more brand new original content that I'd someday like to sell on DVD, getting my feet wet with some easy-to-package vintage titles might be a good way to get started.
The turning point came a few weeks ago when I was on one of my regular thrift store visits and came across two boxes of 8mm gay porn movies! For some reason, it just struck me that I should buy them ALL and release them on DVD! I can't wait! This is going to be so much fun! The groovy hair styles, bed sheets and furniture designs are worth the price alone, not to mention the backback fucking in the age of innocence. After purchasing that first batch, I visited another store and bought another box last week, then returned to the first store yesterday, and bought another two boxes of movies they were hiding in the back.
Most of the movies come in plain white boxes with nothing but handwritten notes like "two bodybuilders in a pool", "blond big dick top", or "Bruce and Steve". But the rest have that cheesey old underground "Boogie Nights" look to them, as you can see by the samples here, and others with bizarre desciptions like, "Filmed in Manly Color".
I have three of the six "Far Out" series, which I love for the cartoon logo on the back, and the kinkiness of each in the series. "Swinging In The Rain" is a piss movie with some hot 70's clones, and I HAD to watch "Sex Salad" just from the cover. And, yes, those are olives they're sticking into that guy's ass, which he later spits out in rapid succession. Tasty. They core out and peel a cucumber, stick it on a guy's shaft and fuck another guy with the "cucumber condom". After everyone shoots a load into the salad bowl, they cut to a cute gay dinner party where they serve the salad to guests. ("Who made-a da' salad?!)
In anticipation of the release of these new upcoming DVD series, watch for my entire collection of vintage stills to be added to the Lavender Lounge VIP Room. I have over 10,000 stills already scanned, but I've never gotten around to offering them all at once in the proper presentation. This latest round will allow VIP members access to the entire collection in super large size, and viewable in a slideshow.
