Oscar Bash-ing

Every year on the day after the Oscars, the gay armchair quarterbacks complain "that was the worst Oscar show ever!" It's the same complaints EVERY year, so when WAS there ever a good Oscar show?

A few highlights:
-John Travolta looked like his hair was sprayed on.
-Chace Crawford and J.C. Chasez hung out together all night at Elton John's after party.
-Scott Rudin thanked his boyfriend in his acceptance speech for "No Country For Old Men".
-Introductions for Best Short Documentary was done by soldiers in Irag. The winner ended up being a lesbian themed movie, and I swear, every soldier they put on camera could have been the mayor of gayville.
-Patrick Dempsey was introduced as, "...the handsome and versatile Patrick Dempsey..." In other words, he likes to top AND bottom.

The complete list of winners from the 80th Academy Awards is after the jump.

The night before, we went to Cookie Dough's Monster Show at Harvey's for their "Oscar Bash-ing". The theme was songs from movies, and some actually followed the theme! Watch these selections posted on Lavender Lounge Video Blog. The first is a collage of numbers, and the second is a medley of songs from "Gypsy" by our own Ethyl Merman.

Besides the two videos below, I added a couple pictures in the VIP Room under Paparazzi Pics. JOIN THE FUN!
