People Rental
Maybe I am reading too much into this, but the phrase "People Rental" just has an odd ring to it. I spotted this sign last week when to went to dinner in Japantown before going to see Ironman.
People Rental. Hmm.
Could they be renting out hookers? Hookers are people, too.
Could they be renting people as slave labor? No, temp agencies use much more sophisticated names like "Manpower".
For some reason the name "People Rental" sounds vaguely like a reference to Soylent Green. I can just see Charleton Heston screaming, "Soylent Green RENTS people!"
