Controversial Falcon News Item CENSORED!

UPDATE: 6/23/08

I am complying with a demand from Falcon Studios' parent company, Conwest Resources, to remove a blog item I posted regarding a current controversy involving a popular Falcon model that appeared on one of Falcon's own websites. (See text of the demand below.)

Other people would have taken this opportunity to insult the model and lambaste the studio. I did not break the story, I did not post a direct link to the incriminating video. Knowing that the story was already out there and spinning out of control, I chose my words carefully to report on the controversy. I am probably one of a very few resources that actually expressed empathy for the model and support for the studio.

Rather than rally their friends in the industry to correct inaccuracies and spin the story in a positive direction, the company instead chose a heavy-handed approach to kill every reference to the story. Okay, I will play along rather than risk losing the commissions I've earned promoting their products. Rather than get myself in anymore trouble, I will concentrate on promoting other products till this thing blows over.

Mark. You did nothing to strengthen or enhance your relationship with Falcon by posting the story on [model name deleted] - as it is filled with inaccuracies. I am kindly asking that you remove the story/posting asap. I am copying Holly, our affiliate manager, on this with the hope we can maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with you. If you choose to not remove the story you must remove the image of [model name deleted] as we do own that video clip that your photo came from.

It has come to our attention that you may be in possession of materials that infringe upon copyrights owned by Conwest Resources, Inc ("ConWest").

This video file may have the file name matt_rush_cries__2_.flv or similar.

ConWest owns the copyright on the material listed above and has registered these copyrights with the United States Copyright Office.

I have a good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized and infringes upon ConWest's rights. I herby declare under the penalty of perjury that I have the authority to act on ConWest's behalf.

Therefore, I demand you do not post these materials directly or indirectly through links or any other means.
