Michael Lucas vs. Brent Corrigan: Statement from ASACP
I'm still on the fence about the shouting match at the GayVN Awards between Michael Lucas and Brent Corrigan.
In a nutshell, a citation from the City of San Francisco was presented to the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) for the good work they do keeping the adult business out of trouble. Right afterward, Michael Lucas rushed to the stage out of turn and pointed out the irony of how the GayVN's support ASCAP, yet they were also nominating and giving awards to Brent Corrigan, who used fake ID to work in porn while underage.
Later that night there was a shoving match at the after party, threats were made, the police were called to Corrigan's hotel room and his boyfriend was handcuffed for about an hour.
Here's where I am undecided about this controversy:
-Is is appropriate to speak out of turn at an awards show even if it's something important?
-Is it appropriate to air dirty laundry at this type of event?
-How long should Brent Corrigan have been blackballed from the industry for putting us all at risk?
-Is Brent Corrigan a role model to encourage other underage performers to use fake ID?
I like to remain on friendly terms with everyone. I also wanted some guidance on the subject matter, so I decided to call ASACP to get a statement regarding this issue, as they were at the center of it. Here is their response:
Statement from ASACP CEO Joan Irvine:
I appreciate Michael Lucas’ concern for ASACP and the industry that he expressed during the GayVN Awards show. Michael demonstrated the industry’s outrage when an underage actor slips into legitimate adult movies as this threatens the industry and shows a disregard for ASACP and the industry’s child protection effort.
In September 2005 when ASACP was alerted that Brent Corrigan was supposedly 17 while performing in four movies, it researched this and quickly informed the industry about the offending movies, and all titles and promotional materials were immediately removed from circulation and distribution, both online and offline.
This was a wakeup call back then and should be a warning to the industry about the importance of being vigilant to obtain the proper documentation for 2257 requirements and to check on questionable documents.
Brent is now over 18 and has the right to engage in whatever legal business he chooses."
And now it's up to Miss Manners to determine who's right and who's wrong.

GayVN Awards 2009 - Official GayVN Coverage
I finished adding my photos from the GayVN Awards 2009 - the Tailgate Parties on Friday night, the Porn Star Brunch on Saturday morning and the Red Carpet before the awards. The are now available for Lavender Lounge VIP members in the Paparazzi Pics section.
Lavender Lounge was named Official Photographer of the GayVN Awards and I enlisted help from two other local paparazzi, so there is PLENTY of shots of your favorite porn stars. More photos will be added in the next few days, and as always, the show was wrought with controversy. I am too burned out right now to get into the details, but JC Adams from GayPornTimes.com had this brief account in my email box before I got up:

Culled from hundreds gay porn movies on 8mm and Super 8 film from the 1970’s, Lavender Lounge Producer Mark Kliem has begun the process of transferring these cinematic gems to digital format for reissue to a whole new generation of fans.
Scenes selected for Vintage Bareback: Hairy Muscle Daddy Collection were painstakingly chosen not only for representing the highest picture quality and color saturation from Kliem’s vast film collection, but also to fit a specific body type that would most appeal to a contemporary gay male consumer of vintage erotica.
“I’ve seen a lot of vintage compilations on DVD that were a mishmash of twinks, jocks, leather or whatever just thrown together, often with models on the cover that aren’t even in the films,” says Mark Kliem. “My vintage releases will all be very niche-specific and targeted to buyers who know what they like. I chose ‘Hairy Muscle Daddies’ for the first release because it fits my own personal taste. Later releases will feature all twinks, or all jocks or all left-handed albino pigmies!”
DIGITAL ENHANCEMENT
The process of transferring old films to a digital format is more involved than one might expect. Though there are many film labs in malls and pharmacies that transfer home movies to video, most won’t process adult material. Lavender Lounge hired an industrial film transfer house in Los Angeles that caters to the Hollywood film industry to assure the process was done professionally and cost effectively. Once in a digital format, the footage was edited together in Final Cut, utilizing computer effects to adjust brightness, contrast, color correction and color saturation.
FILM PRESERVATION
When the gay adult film industry emerged in the 1970’s it was all very discreet and underground. The prevailing business model was to make a quick buck and get out fast because the business was only marginally legal, and porn was considered “disposable”. Many films were released with no reference to director, producer, models or even the name of the company or it’s location. Couple that with the devastation caused by AIDS, and many classic gay porn films are now “lost”.
“I’ve seen documentaries about Hollywood’s attempts at film preservation, and it’s heartbreaking discover that even giant blockbusters like ‘My Fair Lady’ were in danger of being lost,” exclaimed Mark Kliem. “Original masters get misplaced, destroyed, or tucked away in musty warehouses until the film stock degrades to the point of no return. My collection is no where near complete, but I feel a duty to maintain this little slice of gay history for future generations.”

Frat Men's Double Twins
Last night the TV was on while I was working and PBS showed a couple little indie film shorts. One of them was about this cute blond guy who worked at a copy shop. One day a package arrived with a machine that made clones of yourself. He made a clone of himself, they played some video games, then the clone ate all his food and drank all his beer. When he asked the clone, "Who's going to tidy up?" They looked at each other and made another clone.
They kept making more and more clones hoping to find one to tidy up the house. The next day, the original guy comes home to find one of his clones in bed with his girlfriend - and her clone!
It was a pointless little movie, but it was funny and it reminded me of a press release I received from Frat Men, and their holding tank for straight guys cloned from gay genes, the Fratpad. It seems they've recruited TWO set of twins! Otter Pops - Beauty Contest For Skinny Hairy Guys
I guess Sister Viva was secretly looking to score some action but wasn't doing to well hooking up with the daddies, bears, and leather queens we usually hang out with. (God forbid anyone would want to drag home a drag queen either...) Viva's still young and he's tall and slender, so he goes for younger guys that are kinda manly with hairy chests and not too bearish.
Though I've been pushing the concept of bear cubs, especially Muscle Bear Cubs, "otters" are another variety that are even thinner - right down Viva's alley. So, to sort out some potential dating material and give back to the community, Viva combined a fundraiser for the Marine Mammal Center with her inner slut. The result was "Otter Pops", a beauty contest for young, skinny bears-to-be. To tie it in with the Sisters, the title is "Mr. Indulgence Otter 2009".
The contest was last Saturday at the Powerhouse and it really attracted a cute crowd! Ten contestants competed and the winner was the dark haired guy with the beard above. Most were disappointed with the choice because he is much more a cub than an otter. However, my choice was my friend Josh (upper right). He is the quintessential otter, plus he was the only one who knew that otters love to pat their bellies (hot!).
Besides the super hot and slutty guys in the contest and roaming the Flowered Blouse (Powerhouse), I also got the opportunity to get my cowboy boots shined by a sexy bootblack with a black eye (see lower right).
The event raised $1300 for the Marine Mammal Center, and I found out some interest facts about sea otters:
-Unlike other marine mammals, the sea otter has no blubber and relies on its exceptionally thick fur to keep warm... It must eat an estimated 25 to 38% of its own body weight in food each day in order to burn the calories necessary to counteract the loss of heat due to the cold water environment. (At that rate, after a few years they turn into bears.)
-Although each adult and independent juvenile forages alone, sea otters tend to rest together in single-sex groups called rafts. A raft typically contains 10 to 100 animals, with male rafts being larger than female ones. (Sounds like a gay parade on water!)

Fratman Nash - College Wrestler Reinstated And Kicking Ass
Last August I had the inside track on the gay porn scandal involving a college wrestler who posed naked for FratMen.com. You need to read my earlier blog entry to appreciate the latest update to the story. I love it that he's not only unapologetic, but now that he's wrestling again, he's kicking some ass!
From Xbix: The NCAA has reinstated one of the two Nebraska wrestlers dismissed from their original teams because they appeared on a gay porn website.
Paul Donahoe is back on the mat and grappling his way toward an NCAA championship, and he's still in red and white, except that now his colors stand for Edinboro University. It's a small liberal arts university in northwestern Pennsylvania.
Donahoe's high school coach helped him make the jump from Nebraska, which dismissed Donohoe and his teammate based on NCAA rules banning the use of photos for personal gain, along with a host of other charges. Donahoe made a few thousand dollars modeling for the site FratMen.tv, but the NCAA made him give it all back.
"I believe it was unfair for Nebraska to dismiss me from the team," he said. "For one, there's plenty of athletes throughout the University of Nebraska who have had DUIs and who have been in fights and are still playing. But I guess that's OK. Posing nude, I guess, is worse than someone drinking and driving and risking someone's life, in their eyes."
But the fracas hasn't interfered with Donohoe's wrestling. The senior is 32-0, ranked top in his weight class and is favored to capture the national title for 125 pounds.
Despite the persistent rhetoric that describes his arc as redemptive, Donahoe has maintained that he didn't do anything wrong.
"I didn't do anything illegal," he said. "I didn't hurt anyone. I don't think I did anything wrong. Who should I apologize to?"
In addition, Donahoe has received praise online for his defense of gays despite all the flak he's received.
"I am straight, but on the forums people make a lot of gay jokes about me," he says. "I'm not too concerned. They can talk about me all they want, it doesn't matter. If a guy wants to be with a guy, who cares?"
Finally, Donahoe said that he's happy to tell his story, no matter how embarrassing it is, because it might help bring more attention to the beleaguered sport of amateur wrestling.
"It's not like other sports," he said. "It's not something that you go out and do for fun, because if you go out there and someone's tougher than you, you're going to take some whipping. But once you become a wrestling fan, I'm pretty sure you'll always be a wrestling fan."

Signed and Framed Joel Peter Witkin Print
A couple years ago I inherited a signed litho print of a Joel Peter Witkin print from a friend who was downsizing to move. I've been carrying a little slip of paper with sizes to find a frame for it, and after months of searching, I finally got a frame and matting for it!
If you're not familiar with Joel Peter Witkin, read the Wiki about him, it's pretty amazing. In a nutshell, he sets up and photographs bizarre tableaues often with dismembered cadavers. It can be quite challenging, and has inspired other work from people like Nine Inch Nails and Jake Deckard's recent Ink Stain, a movie I had the pleasure of watching being filmed. Summary of GayVN Nominated Movies 2009
I just finished casting my votes for the GayVN Awards for 2009! Whew! What a job that was! As always, I had to go through a marathon of viewing movies at the last minute. Thank goodness I've been watching them throughout the year so I was a somewhat prepared.
As an over-all observation of the gay porn industry, I am once again impressed by the quality of films made this year. Though it gets tedious sometimes, every once in a while, I get blown away by a set design, a lighting technique, a special effect, or a breath taking location. Rarely do I see a sex position I've never seen before, but when I do, it may either challenge me or not, but I always welcome innovation. Each year the cameras and the computers get better, and the guys running them get more proficient.
I am going to give you a quick rundown of some of the movies I just watched over the last few days while they are still fresh in my mind.
To The Last Man by Raging Stallion will probably make an enormous sweep of the awards this year. It's the biggest epic undertaking of the year, and though not perfect, it deserves acclaim just for taking such big chances.
Titan's Funhouse picks up the carney /circus theme they've done once a year for the past few years incorporating real gymnasts and circus performers in their contortion-like sex positions. Francois Sagat appears in both Funhouse and Breakers as an oddball character that keeps showing up at odd times. Breakers is another coming-out-of-retirement project by Bruce Cam who has had more retirement parties than Cher. If you liked Bruce Cam's earlier outdoor epics, you'll like this one, too. It's got the same campfire scene in every one.
The Best Sex Comedy category was pretty sparse this year, but that one is always tough. Jet Set Men 's Jock Tease had a genuinely funny montage at the end, but the dialogue throughout the rest of the movie was just butch sounding jock posturing. Not so funny for guys that intimidated by that shit. Straight boy Aaron James seemed to enjoy his role as the sluttiest jock willing to fuck anyone anyhow, while the other gay actors tried to act like they weren't. Irony, darling, irony.
Sex Hiker from upstart company Black Scorpion was big surprise. They appear intent on out-classing their competitors to put out a super premium product. Starting with hiring a South American runway model, D.O. (pronounced Dee-oh), and mr. Pam, they spent a shit load of money not only on production, but the packaging to mimic a fashion magazine shoot.
Foreign films are always a treat because they often incorporate exotic locales. Both AMG Brasil's Rio and Lucas Kazan's Italians and Other Strangers impressed me with the b-roll footage of gorgeous scenery and showed some genuine effort in the production. Lucas Kazan can always be counted on to provide a beautiful tableau that is out of this world.
As another diversion, I got to see a lot of twink movies, and Brent Corrigan seems to have that category wrapped up - but how the hell is he going to transition to bear movies when he turns 30?
This year for the first time, the GayVN Awards have several categories honoring websites. Randy Blue has such a stable of incredible models, but has never put out any DVDs. It would be interesting to see how a feature-length Randy Blue movie on DVD would stack up against other movie studios. Hmm.
And finally, in the fetish / leather / kink categories, Hot House has really learned to mix beauty with pain to consistently put out outstanding products that are challenging and creative. But for raw, niche-specific, know-your-audience fetish material, I was impressed by Lucas Entertainment's Piss! I usually get quite queasy watching piss scenes, but this simple, straight forward look at the fetish was somehow engaging even to me. The piss scenes outdoors and in bath tubs I could understand, but when they were peeing indoors on the floor and leather furniture, I kept thinking about how to get rid of that smell! (I guess Michael Lucas is rich enough to just throw away furniture and move out!)
That's my summary of the best gay porn movies from 2008, and though I didn't give you all heaps of praise in this one blog entry, perhaps it will all pay off when you pick up your trophies! Congratulations everyone, and keep up the good work!

18" Borders on Excess - Giant Dildo Promotes New Chi Chi Movie
Along with an excessive number of movies that arrived this month for GayVN judging, I also got a little "surprise" from Chi Chi LaRue. To promote Channel 1's movie, "Excess", they sent along a gigantic 18" black dildo specially labeled for that movie!
Now come on guys, 16 or 17 inches is reasonable for a dildo, but 18 inches borders on Excess!
On the final leg of my reviewing movies for GayVN judging, I squeezed in a peek at "Excess". It's up for five awards this time and I really enjoyed it. It was all shot in some gigantic designer home in Southern California, to which the location itself will give some decorator queens a hard-on just for that.
The guys are all clean cut and spiffy, very well-groomed and plucked. A lot of the scenes take place in showers, a bath tub and the glamorous pool. Everything is so clean and sparkling you forget it's a dirty movie. It's like a breath of fresh air with blowjobs.
There's no plot and no dialogue, just lustful glances and getting down to business with rich kids, but for some reason, I don't recall any 18" dildos. Maybe in Part 2. No matter, if Blake Riley is in it, I am so there! He's is just a dreamboat and I get all tongue-tied when I see him in person!

John Stewart Slams CNBC and Jim Cramer Gets Hit By In Crossfire
In recent years the veil has been lifted about a lot of things in life that we all look at as solid, unwavering institutions. Just like in the Wizard of Oz, we've all been told, "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" when it comes to politics, religion, law, media, health care, and now money. Suddenly, we've all woken up to the fact that "The Emperor Has No Clothes".
Last night's grilling of supposed financial guru Jim Cramer by Daily Show's John Stewart not only broke open the dirty underside of the financial markets, it's also the most important piece of investigative reporting I have ever seen on television. The week long expose done by the Daily Show should be taught not only to students of economics, but should be taught to journalism and broadcasting students - especially after they put a bunch of Wall Street guys and CNBC executives in jail.
In a nutshell, John Steward showed example after example how CNBC helped create the financial mess with Jim Cramer as the figurehead. He pointed out the big lie about the stock market and the investment business that everyone acknowledges with a wink and denies to the death.
Stewart said he and Cramer are both snake-oil salesman, only "The Daily Show" is labeled as such. He claimed CNBC shirked its journalistic duty by believing corporate lies, rather than being an investigative "powerful tool of illumination." And he alleged CNBC was ultimately in bed with the businesses it covered — that regular people's stocks and 401Ks were "capitalizing your adventure."
"I understand that you want to make finance entertaining, but it's not a fucking game," Stewart told Cramer with all seriousness.
Steward's frustration was primarily about the phoniness of how CNBC reports on the financial markets the same way he exposes the obscurities of Fox News and conservative politicians, and poor Cramer just got in the way.
Bravo! I wish there was a way to sit Bush or Cheney in that same Daily Show chair to get grilled.

GayVN Awards Show and Related Parties
There is so much going on over the weekend of the GayVN Awards, I had to stop by the Naked Sword offices today just to have them help me sort it all out. Here's the scoop: Besides the big awards show and afterparty on Saturday, various gay porn studios will be holding their own parties on Friday the 27th, and they're pretty much all right around the block in the Castro. I've lived here for nearly 30 years, and I've never seen this many scheduled events all at one time outside of the usual big gay holidays!

Under A Full Moon: 30 Years of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence - Through artifacts, records, press releases, photographs, habits and other objects, this exhibition will tell the story of how it came to be that on Holy Saturday 1979, an order of queer nuns was conceived. On view will be the promotional relics of a number of the Sisters’ memorable events such as themed Bingo nights and the annual Easter event in Dolores Park, along with a glimpse into the group’s organizational structure through its bylaws and the Pink Saturday Handbook. Disc Jockey Roundup - Bus Station John and DJ Pornstar
Believe it not, kids, I started DJing at parties in 1975, way before most of you were born. I was still in college and had just recently came out as gay. I was pretty bipolar at the time with equal interest in punk rock and disco and the dividing line between the two genres was rather wide.
The bigger gay bars had DJs , but there were still a few gay bars where people danced to the juke box. Yes, you heard it right, we danced to the juke box, like they did in Happy Days.
Around 1974 or 1975 I found the very first DJ mixer available for sale to regular consumers. It was a little Lafayette model with knobs, no slider, and fake wood panels on the side. Very 70's. It was about $175, which seemed cheap even at the time, so I bought it as soon as I could. I had a top of the line Garrard belt drive turntable that I cherished, and bought myself an open-box Technics belt turntable for $70 to go with it.
I was in heaven! I was a Broadcasting major and worked at the college radio stations (the school had FIVE student radio stations!). I was also a blossoming faggot struggling to do smooth sequeways from Donna Summer songs to the Ramones (no easy task). I started hiring myself out to college keggers and made a few bucks here and there, but had no idea how to start a real mobile dj business. Bars had one name 7 days a week, and usually one DJ for the weekends and maybe one part timer for weeknights.
In 1979 I got a job as DJ at The Gas Station Saloon in Detroit, and had the distinct pleasure of bringing in the New Year (and new decade) of 1980. At the time, gay bars with DJs were strict about "no rock music", but since the Gas Station was open after hours, I started to get a hip following because I was the first DJ in Detroit to play the B-52's, Blondie and the Ramones in a gay club. I eventually got fired for my inventiveness.
I never understood how, since the 90s, the role of DJ in a bar has been elevated to level of celebrity. People seem to confuse the guy playing records with the guy who makes the records. Today in San Francisco, everybody is a DJ. In fact, you can't swing a dead cat in this town without hitting a DJ. I won't go into my list of favorite DJs, or a list of my friends who happen to be DJs, but I have two guys I want to spotlight.
First is Bus Station John, who does a couple underground clubs every week and I appreciate his subversive approach to it from the skanky venues, the wet jockstrap contests, his collection of 70s funk and obscure disco music, right down to his home made flyers featuring the coolest vintage porn images. The pictures you see are from his email blasts promoting The Rod, Manquake and Tubesteak Connection. They all sound like names of gay bars in pulp novels.
The name DJ Pornstar (aka Adrian Taylor) has been mentioned a lot lately, and it finally sunk in that he IS a pornstar! Known in porn circles as Dominic Pacifico, I always thought he was dreamy. I haven't heard him spin records, but I got this email from him posing with Lady GaGA. What caught my attention most was his Tuesday gig at the Lookout offers free pizza from 6-9:30! Lookout pizza is damn good, too, and as DJ Pornstar says, "Lately been all about the ( ALL YOU CAN EAT PIZZA) 6-9:30. WoW, People love it... I have to say, I love it to, Its my only carb night. LOL"

Fake Carl's Jr. Commercial
It looks like a commercial for Carl's Jr. and the blogosphere is claiming it's a "banned" commercial, but if you look closely, it's pretty obvious it's an ad for "Cal's", not "Carl's". Besides, the owner of Carl's Jr. is a conservative Republican worthy of a boycott. Sexy ads wouldn't even get produced - except for the one with Paris Hilton washing a car in a bikini...

Buckshot Promotes Soundtrack For "Boy Country"
It's always a breath of fresh air when a gay porn company hires a real musician to provide the soundtrack for one of their movies. Judging the GayVN Awards for so many years, it seemed that for a while there were only 3 composers working for the entire industry, and each year they'd just take turns bringing home a trophy.
COLT had this to say about their new release, "Boy Country":
Since the release of BOY COUNTRY last week our customers have been raving about the music. Buckshot took a drastic change for this feature and hired musical talent Ron Perkov to compose it.
Ron has had two Top Ten Billboard Charting Dance singles – to "Love Divine" by Tony Moran in the movie "Circuit" and the single "Liv, Luv, Dance" in the new documentary "When Ocean Meets Sky" He also has a sexy chill-out cd titled Intimate Chill Out that can be bundled with your DVD purchase. So director Kristofer Weston took some time to find out more about this man behind the BOY COUNTRY soundtrack.
KW: Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started in the music Industry?
RP: After graduating college I met Dionne Warwick and she took a liking to me and I became a back up vocalist for her in the late 80's. From there I met a lot of music industry people which lead me to Victor Calderone and my first dance single "Dance With Me, Take Me Higher" went to #7 on Billboard. Then I met Junior where he put that song on his CD compilation "Junior Vasquez Vol 2".
From then I have met so many other DJ producers, Eddie Baez, David Knapp, Mark Anthony, etc. and then my dearest friend Tony Moran. Tony and I put out many dance hits, one (Love Divine) in the movie "Circuit", from "Live, Luv, Dance" and "I Get Off" all hitting above #17 on Billboard. All my dance singles are now on over 20 CD compilations around the world.
KW: How did you enjoy composing music for an adult oriented all–male feature like BOY COUNTRY.
RP: I enjoyed this experience immensely. It was my first time doing a soundtrack for a movie and I look forward to doing more. My engineer and I had a great time putting the music to the film. It was a pleasure working on BOY COUNTRY. I thank COLT Studio Group and Buckshot for the opportunity.
KW: Did you use any of your current hits or music on the BOY COUNTRY sound track?
RP: Yes, I took a few songs from the album and changed them around a bit and of course, I also took out all my vocals. It was challenging and fun creating and changing the music around but still being able to tie in the CD so that the public will still be able to relate to both the film and the CD.
KW: Do you think gay men will enjoy your sound in the intimacy of their bed room with their favorite Buckshot Boys?
RP: ABSOLUTELY!!!! I think this DVD will not only have the visual, but also a sexy audio that will appeal to all senses of the body.
KW: What are your plans for the near future?
RP: I am currently in the studio with Tony Moran writing a new dance single which should be available by the spring. I am also being considered for NY Gay Pride to perform on the Pier. I keep my fingers crossed on that because I am a native New Yorker and it would mean the world to perform for my friends and neighbors!

First Reviews of Sasha Baron Cohen's "Bruno" Movie
After the huge success of "Borat", everyone is in anticipation for Sasha Baron Cohen's new movie based on his gay fashion reporter character, Bruno. They did a special screening last night at SXSW festival.
Two sketchy reviews are after the jump, but here is one quote that hopefully won't be a spoiler:
WOW, I have to say I have NEVER quite seen a movie like this. However outrageous BORAT was, this one is 10 times sharper, wittier and altogether ballsier. And I fucking LOVED every second of it.
It will be very interesting to see how the masses will receive this movie: it is not just gay but sexually graphically, hilariously GAY. I dug it and I’m not even a homosexual!

Trailer for NEW Grey Gardens - Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange
Oh my gawd, this trailer for the new version of Grey Gardens looks amazing! It's coming to HBO in April starring Drew Barrymore as Little Edie and Jessica Lange as Big Edie. It looks like they not only re-create the 1970's documentary, but they go back in time to depict the lives of the socialites before their fall from grace. I can't wait!

Wolf Hudson, Blake Riley, Brent Corrigan to Host Grabby Awards
Wolf Hudson got elected by popular vote to fill the third slot as host of the Grabby Awards. He joins Rascal Video's Blake Riley and twink sensation Brent Corrigan as the three gay porn stars to display their wares before a crowd of gay porn industry types and horny fans for the awards ceremony over Memorial Day Weekend in Chicago. The Grabbys also conveniently coincide with IML weekend festivities, so it's a trip jam packed with sexy fun.
Besides the boys, Chi Chi LaRue and Chicago's own Honey West lend an air of camp and fabulousness to the show. I've only been to the Grabbys once, and I'd never heard of Honey West out here on the left coast. Turns out, she and Chi Chi have really developed rapport as a comedy team over the years. They always do something special.
Congratulations to Wolf Hudson, he really worked hard to get that vote. Let's hope he wins some awards, too.

Lavender Lounge Photos In 100% Beef Magazine
This is already ancient history, but I figured I better post this item before I forget it. Or I should at least tear out these two pages before they get stuck together like all the other magazines next to my bed. (OOPS, did I say too much?)
A few months ago, 100% Beef Magazine (created by a couple former employees of the old Bear Magazine) ran a photo spread of my pictures from Hairrison Street Fair. The only way I even knew about it was by just flipping through magazines at A Different Light Bookstore! It caught me by complete surprise!
It's always a thrill to get something published. I can now add yet another publication to the list of magazines my name or photos have appeared. My articles and photos are frequently seen in Euro-Bear Magazine, and over the past few years I've been written up in Adult Video News (AVN), AVN Online, GayVN, Xbiz, Gloss, Just Us Boys, X-Factor, and Cybersocket.

Elevator Girls In Bondage
Last night I attended the DVD release party for "Elevator Girls In Bondage" starring the Cockettes. I couldn't believe how fucking brilliant it is! It's all just plain stupid stoner humor with lots of crazy drag, male and female nudity and some cock sucking. What more could you ask for in a movie? I bought an autographed copy, so I think a screening party will be in the works.
The only two clips I found on You Tube didn't convey the humor. Perhaps you need to watch it in the context of the whole piece, or maybe you just need to be stoned to get it. Trust me, it's funny as shit.

The addition of Paul to The Men Of Hot House seemed to be an act of perfect serendipity. Both Steven Scarborough and Brent Smith (President and VP of Hot House) spotted Paul in a WeHo Starbucks a few months ago and were stunned by his sex appeal. Then just last week, Paul submitted his application to Hot House after talking with fellow Exclusive Johnny Gunn about his interest in getting into the business.
“We were already fully cast for Skuff 4,” said Scarborough, “but when Paul’s pictures came in, we knew his look was perfect for this movie. So we moved fast; we literally booked him and flew him to SF the next day.”

Paul will make his debut in Skuff 4, the award-winning leather series from Hot House Video, slated for an April release online in the Backroom. The site, which Cybersocket recently named Best Video Company Website for the second year in a row, features first-run movies not yet available on DVD or anywhere else. Skuff 4 is slated for DVD release in June.
