More Falcon's "Heaven To Hell"
The movie isn't even out yet and guys are bitching about the art direction of Falcon's "Heaven To Hell". One of the gay porn message boards (which I won't name because they won't link to me!) has a whole thread started about how "horrible" the tattoos look. Relax, they're just painted on. I don't think I'd want to see anything like that permanent, but the movie is supposed to be surreal. It's probably the same guys who complain that gay porn "all looks the same". I give Falcon credit (and Chi Chi LaRue, in her last movie for Falcon) for taking a little risk and trying something different. I attached another photo that I think is a better display of the tattoos, but you can see the whole series of photos and watch the trailer from "Heaven To Hell" at the Falcon website.
It was shot in a downtown LA warehouse owned by a female porn star that is decorated in over-the-top whorehouse chic. Besides the outrageous tattoos, the guys wear devil horns, rhinestone studded dog collars, and glitter jockstraps. It sounds ridiculous, but think of it as a Ken Russell movie. Who can forget Ann Margaret rolling around in a vat of baked beans in "Tommy"? I say, if you have a chance to be fabulous - go for it! Why go halfway. Or think of "Fifth Element". It could have just been another Bruce Willis shoot 'em up science fiction movie, but they went all the way with crazy sets and costumes by Jean Paul Gaultier.
Guys may not like to see Brad Patton wearing a set of white wings in "Heaven To Hell", but Steve Cannon wearing that set of black wings in Titan's "Fallen Angel" is now one of the most iconic images in the history of gay porn. Steve Cannon is more famous for wearing the wings (and eyeliner) than for his sex scenes.
