Trading Places: Francois Sagat & Jake Deckhard
There's a big shakeup in the gay porn biz today! Raging Stallion and Titan Media have "traded" two of their hottest performers - Francois Sagat is going to Titan and Jake Deckhard is going to Raging Stallion! I've posted press releases from both studios verbatim, so I don't get in trouble for misquoting anyone.
Maybe I'm exaggerating, but something seems to be going on. Why are there so many press releases about studios signing exclusive models in just the past few weeks? I wrote to a couple of the big gay porn studios to find out, and I will be posting their replies as they trickle in.
In the Raging Stallion press release below, Chris Ward alludes to a bit of rivalry between the two competing companies, but we all know that everyone in the gay porn industry is all lovey-dovey-kissy-kissy, right? Titan's press release included photos THEY shot of Francois Sagat, but since Raging Stallion hasn't had a chance to shoot Jake Deckhard yet, I thought I better be safe and use photos of him from his website, JakesBodyWorks.com. (I'm sure Titan would not be happy if I used one of their photos of Jake to promote his move to Raging Stallion...) Unfortunately, Jake's pre-porn photos all seem to be without body hair. I'm sure we'll see plenty of fur when Raging Stallion gets ahold of him for their site, HairyBoyz.com!
PRESS RELEASE - RAGING STALLION SIGNS JAKE DECKHARD
Chris Ward today announced that superstar Jake Deckhard has been signed to a two year exclusive contract with Raging Stallion Studios. Meanwhile, Raging Stallion Studios wished RSS discovery Franois Sagat a bon voyage after he decided to leave the company that made him a star in order to continue his amazing video career with Titan Media. Raging Stallion worked with Franois for about 15 months and filmed over twenty movies, of which thirteen remain to be released. His mega-hits include Arabesque, Hard As Wood, and Manifesto. He has already been filmed for one of Chris Ward's major fall releases. Twelve other Franois Sagat films will be released between now and the summer of 2007.
Jake Deckhard will join Raging Stallion's exclusive stable of Rough and Tough macho men who have made the San Francisco based studio an industry leader. Jake commented enthusiastically about his new deal: "I am really happy that I am moving to Raging Stallion for the next stage of my erotic career. Chris and the RSS guys really know how to treat their guys fairly. Raging Stallion has always been my one of favorite studios. I have always wanted to be a Chris Ward exclusive. Raging Stallion is clearly the leader when it comes to shooting hairy, butch, masculine men. These are guys like me. Raging Stallion is the perfect fit!"
Deckhard will be featured in 15 films over the next two years, including Ward's planned blockbuster jungle adventure that will shoot in mid summer.
In what may be a first for the adult industry, two major studios are preparing to shoot a significant star that the other has developed. A pleased Ward noted the irony. "Both Franois and Jake are two of the hottest guys in the world--and who better to shoot them than Titan and Raging Stallion! I think Raging Stallion and Titan have become very similar over the years by filming many of the same guys. I even heard they are heading to Australia to shoot in our back yard down there. I guess copying us is the best kind of flattery! I look forward to shooting with Jake and I can't wait to see what they do with Franois!"

Francois will also appear exclusively for TitanMen during the 2006 Folsom Street Fair and the 2007 GAYVN Expo.
